INFORMATION - Ron Vento - Ron has been involved in music and the music industry for over 20 years. He began playing music at the age of 12 and began recording music at the age of 16. He graduated with honors from the Atlanta Institute of Music at the age of 19. Since that time he has worked at numerous recording studios, music stores and live sound companies before starting his own studio over 4 years ago. He has released 7 albums of his own with two recording contracts as well as producing albums for many different bands in many different genres, while continuing to work with major label and independent artists alike. His studio and independent columns have been featured in major recording magazines such as EQ etc. His studio also acts as an educational venue to the College of Southern Maryland where he teaches accredited courses in live sound and recording. - Matt McKinley - Matt began playing music at the age of 13, and started recording at 15. From that time on he recorded his own bands and the bands of his friends. This lead him to pursuing recording professionally as a career. He then started taking recording courses at CSM. While attending the courses at the College of Southern Maryland Ron noted his stand-out performance during the classes and offered him an internship. After more than a year of intensive hands on training and running sessions, he was hired as a Recording Engineer at Nightsky. He has recorded many different bands and artists in many genres of music and continues to excel at all his recording endeavors. FREELANCE ENGINEERS - Trè Matthews - With an intense passion and love for recording, Trè Matthews has taken major steps as an engineer. Starting as a student at the College of Southern Maryland, where Matthews took his first recording courses, he witnessed firsthand what it took to be successful in this field by learning from Ron Vento. By the end of the semester, he finished with the highest grade amongst all of his classmates. Eager to satisfy his thirst and desire for growth, Trè Later was accepted to American University and earned his BA in Audio Production. As a student at American University, he graduated in the top 3% of his class. His education has given him much experience in the world of audio. Trè has worked in radio, film and television. His experience comes from having such prestige internship positions at Cue Studios, BET (Black Entertainment Television), WPGC 95.5, and Voice of America. Trè has also done live sound for touring acts such as Metro Station, Josh Kelley, Tyga, John Legend and Lyfe Jennings and has worked with artists in multiple genres. Currently, Trè has made Nightsky Studios his home, where he and the rest of the staff continue to create top notch recordings as they stay true to their motto and “Produce the World”. |
